Translocated population map
Legend
The increasing use of translocations for conservation purposes requires translocation data to be made available to managers and researchers, both to answer ecological questions and to improve the practice of translocations through feedback. The map above shows the 1721 plant, animal and fungi translocated populations recorded so far. These translocations include conservation-driven translocations and certain mitigation-driven translocations where the viability of the translocated population is a clear objective of the translocation. The accuracy of the locations on the map above is approximate (generally at municipality level).
